Although Last Friday Night by Katy Perry is a song, it has some characteristics of a poem and has quite a few poetic devices. There is alot of parallel structer such as almost every stanza starts off with the line "Last Friday night". This song is also an example of a lyric peom. There is also alot of repetition, such as when she says "we'll do it all again". This song could be an example of an ode, if you think of it as her praising drinking and friday nights. There is even examples of a meter, each stanza has about 7 syllables which help the rhyme scheme.

Me, Myself and......George?

There we were, sitting in a dark room. The only thing I could see was an old man sitting on a chair in the middle of an empty room. I looked around trying to figure out where I was, I could see light, the light was coming from a single burning candle, some how that candle produced enough light to make this mans face glow. I could see every detail on that mans face. His eyes were like endless tunnels pulling me in closer and closer, as he pulled the cigarette out of his mouth he began speaking to me, his voice was unlike any other, it was smooth and gentle. The wrinkles on his face were like rippling tides against the shore line at the beach.

Super hero??

I am a majestic person. Some may call me a super hero or a genius. But I am just an ordinary grade 12 girl. I am Tarryn Attrill. I am often found climbing up the sides of buildings or swimming in shark invested water. Wednesdays after school I can be found having an epic sword fight with Angelica Dias while riding giraffes through the Amazon.

I am the master of everything, I can text over 500 words per minute, I can teach cats to play the piano. Although I am the master of everything I have still yet to complete a blog assignment for English.

Just the other week I saved an entire village using only dental floss and a toothbrush. I have been in many films such as Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Kick-Ass, and The Incredible Hulk.
I can be in 2 places at once!!

By the age of 13 I was able to kidnap Fluffy (hagrids 3-headed dog), Fly a plane and was able to recite any of Shakespeare's plays by heart.
